GIANNI DELLA CIOPPA's liner notes

WICKED MINDS Walking in the shadows of (hard) rock! The story goes that outside it was pouring and Dave Wyndorf, Monster Magnet singer–guitarist was mad as hell just to know his mike doesn’t work. He decides then to change the strategy and drags his spaceship toward a psychedelic hard rock gig , tearing to pieces the old play list and improvising an outraging show. The young Wicked Minds are in the audience after their thrash metal exhibition playing that night as side act of Monster Magnet. But that feverish vision suspended among electricity, lights and damp energy dripping down the walls erased all certainties. The day after nothing will ever be the same and Wicked Minds start their ride back on the psychedelic hard rock paths. The first step in the music circuit is the rough sounding “Return to Uranus”, the band is still a trio but you could just see the grandeur that will come. The real debut album comes in 2003 and it’s called “Crazy technicolor delirium garden”. Twelve years have passed since that rainy night and Wicked Minds sound got stronger and mature Hard beating keyboards on liquid and bright guitars create a pounding storm that seams to never end .They are discovered by Black Widow records, the queen label for psych hard-rock sound which decides to give more strength to the band with the joining of vocalist J.C. The former record becomes now ”From the purple skies”, a sheer devotion act to 70’s hard rock, starting from the album cover. Out of the tracks comes all the ardour for the enlightened bands such as High Tide, Pentagram, Uriah Heep, and Budgie wandering between cover electric knights and magnificent losers, starting from the album cover. The critics all over the world label it a miracle and during live gigs Wicked Minds prove to be a real band. With the new one “Witchflower”, Wicked Minds are ready to go down to history.
